Goes into fire , must be o.k

I had the task of inspecting 5 conventional systems that are connected to a Landlords panel.
Having looked through previous documentation , including maintenance testing that all was fine, with all of the systems .
Having removed a detector , no fault was generated , yet again the dreaded diode , yep all the bases are  incorrectly wired in respect to feed in and out.
I would be interested on how many conventional head removal jobs you lads find with this misdemeanor.
Its time to make a counter attack !

On a slightly different aspect of the same issue I was in a big swanky M&S store tonight because the missus wanted some new clothes. Suddenly there was a partial power falue and all the lights went out. Not one emergency light came on. Not bl***dy one- the place was in pitch darkness for half an hour and we were ushered out. This in a six month old shopping centre that has widely trumpeted the fact of adventurous design and fire safety engineering. What confidence can you have if they cant even get the basics right? And why wasn't this picked up on commissioning or monthly tests?

Yes of course a phone call will be made to the local CFO first thing  Monday morning.

Last month completed a delap report in a major store , no sprinklers in the void , apparently they forgot to put them in , funny how the clearance certificate shows the flow switch / tamper tested on the alarm panel working , and the valve check also , that's class for you.
Its time to make a counter attack !

found a few in my time mostly installs by sparks with the in and out wrong but also by so called fire companies who use diode bases on a non head removal system.
