Now just a minute, I never once mentioned that I'd attempted to learn anything, Bahh!

Joking aside, and I know it's very sad but I love the place. I become institutionalised very quickly, so by the afternoon of the second day I'm into the groove. Living on my own as I do, when I go to the college I have someone to cook all my meals and do all the cleaning up, tidy my room and make my bed. I get instant membership to a new social circle, free gym membership, travelling expenses, subsistance and they pay me to do it.

I think the learning bit (which I enjoy anyway really) is a small price to pay. And you may say 'well I have all of that now' and I'd ask 'yes but at what cost?'

Roll on my next course in January (might try to get to the research event in November though) and my award for the saddest person on the forum.

Bring it on then chaps(esses) :P

1930 starts are a bit much when you are there for 2 weeks. I don't want to end up 'rotund'. :) I suppose I could make an exception for one night though.

I may have counted wrong, but I think there are 35 names so far for Kurnals great idea, what does it take Kurnal to progress this great idea of yours? would not the autumn be a good time for this event. Just thought I'd bring it back to the fore again.

Theres a couple of things we would need before pushing this any further. The first is firm confirmation of support- last time I asked for emails from persons with a firm interest I received only five- Ricardo, Redone, Devon, Ashley and Ally.

We would also need a little sponsorship- to pay for a venue. My company would put up a hundred or two but we would need more than this-  I also emailed Chris to seek Colins (the site owner) view on making it an official firenet do but received no reply.

So thats where we are. I think we need at least 30 persons interested to make it worthwhile, we need a program and venue with the right mix of social, fun and debate, and we need some cash to get things moving. From there we would seek some speakers - we perhaps dont need to look much further than our members, (though I did have an offer from Colt), and set up a sub committee to sort out the finer details.
