Calculating Building Capacities

Is there a simply method for calculating the maximum numbers of persons who can occupy a floor and building.  The information refers to general office space.
Any answer appreciated.

Start with AD pt B, purpose groups, then the table for occupancy/floor space factors.

Look at the LCLG Guide number 1 for Offices and shops.  Assign a risk category as detailed in that document, measure the opening widths for the doors and look at the tables.  A 700mm door will allow X number of people dependent on the risk you assign.

In asnwwer to your question yes you should have a set ammount of toilets available related to capacity.

However Im sure what the facts and figures are - you would need to approach your local environmental health department for guidance
