Fire alarm system's quotation issue ???

Guys;

A new coordinator admin lady in charge of preparing quotation for small and medium jobs asks for a general platform of quotations, to speed up her task…

However; I promised here to develop a simple application for this purpose, just through data entry and pressing the ‘Quote’ button, it then gives the total straight forward…

I actually haven’t got much experience in quotations; therefore I would like your suggestions about this issue, I need i.e. to see a general platform in a table format or if possible excel document…

Also I will post the application to be used for free for every one in this forum, once it's ready.

It's easy to make up an EXCEL spreadsheet with coloumns containing all our equipment that you use,quantities,cost price,sell price (automatically calculated by using the cost price multiplied by our mark up),installers cost (then sell price),comissioning (which you can calculate automatically).

Any programing language can do that, but my main issue still how to get a general concept quotation, which I can upgrade or update at any time

I think our salesmen use something like that.  I'll try to get a copy.

I think it's more directed towards the servicing side of things but I'll get a copy anyway.
