I have a convoy of 4 appliances and 1 ambulance leaving for Serbia & Moldova this Thursday (21/08/08). The local brigade had promised us a load of kit but the corporate dept have stepped in at 11th hour and stopped the donation. We are working with the Red Cross and Blytheswood Care so can provide letters for audit trail purposes.

We deseperately need the following

Foam Compound (expiry date not an issue)
Oxygen Cylinders
Oxygen Regulators
Dry / survival suits
45mm Hose

There is other stuff we are now short of but these are the things we really need. If you can help please let me know - time is of the essence - we can pick up so distance no object. I have tried Florian already.

Sorry for late notice but brigade have taken me to the wire with no option to delay.

Apologies if I have put this in the wrong section but my head is a bit fuzzy.

I'm flying out to Serbia on the 3rd.  What are you doing out there?  (I'm on my way to Macedonia for a wee football match).

England always get an easy group, as explained below:

Although they don't have Macedonia, they are in Scotland's group, which is why I'll be there.

We are donating fully kitted fire appliances and an ambulance similar to a project we completed last year (I am not good at hyper links but this is what we did http://www.dvd-bajnabasta.org/donation.html ) We donate everything to the host country and take over instructors in various fields. This year we have 6 courses going on including:

RTC
Tac Vent
BA
Water Rescue
Trauma
Pumps / Ladders and everything else!!
We also have a driver training instructor to teach them so they don't end up in the river themselves!!

Our next project is Burundi & Rwanda - but my wife tells me that's next year!!

John

Many thanks. If okay with you can I organise Blytheswood Care to pick it up from you. They will then tansport out to the crews ASAP. Is this okay? If so can you call my office on 0131 467 4107 or provide me with contact details and I will contact you directly. Many thanks once again.
