Has anyone read online or in print the article by Peter Wilkinson in this magazine with regard to the RR(FS)O.  It mentions the inconsistency, lack of awareness of fire risk assessment, lack of technical knowledge and the prescriptive approach of some FRS staff in enforcing the Order.

Another issue raised is the trading services that some FRS have, this by an organisation that trade for profit, make comments on all FRS staff and advertise their services on the same pages.

The FPA, I.M.O, are a bunch of blokes looking to get paid anyway they can, like a lot of "associations."

We're the FPA and we're here to save lives!... whilst we're saving you, why dont you buy a guide only £19.99!

You can be not for profit and pay some handsome salaries i'm sure.

Also there website's pants!

Funny how it's always seems to be the FRS that gets a slating and mud slinging for lack of consistency on advice and enforcement when auditing FRA.

I have seen many FRA that are inconsistent, lacking detail and not actually addressing significant findings/preventive and protective measures and no, these are not from some self employed person who thinks and believes he has the knowledge, training and experience to carry out the FRA. We have all come across these.

These are from large companies set up by and employing Ex Fire Service Personnel.

Rather than point score and bitch about the other side!!! We should be trying to work together to achieve the end result of making premises safer for all relevant persons under general fire precautions.

Here end'th my little moan!!!
Save a little money each month and at the end of the year you'll be surprised at how little you have :)
