Interesting new product re: communicators
« on: May 07, 2009, 02:51:43 PM »
This is advice 'giving' rather than advice 'asking'

Most of us know that the power supply for arc signal transmission devices for fire alarm systems should meet the fire BS recommendations. We also know that most such devices operate at 12V whereas most fire alarm systems are 24V.

C-tec have just announced that they are now producing a 12Vdc 2A power supply complying with EN54-4-A2. They are claiming this is the world's first.

The power supply enclosure has space for a STU or autodialler and a 3.2AH battery.

This product could prove to be very useful for many applications.

p.s. I don't work for c-tec! Just passing on a bit of info!

Just started using their charges , must say I do rate them , seem to have thought about the product before bringing it to market .
In reference to the redcare we always use a 24v stu.
Its time to make a counter attack !
