Evacuation of ward exercises
« on: June 02, 2009, 08:48:44 AM »
Has anyone had any experience of carrying out ward evacuation exercises? I would appreciate any info on how you approached this with all the logistical difficulties that goes with a busy hospital. Thanks

Hi Mushy

Ive observed ward evcauation drills (I didn't arrange them or take part in them). My local hospitals have done them in the past, although they do take alot of planning.

Probably the best thing to to do would be to approach someone at National Association of Hospital Fire Officers (NAHFO) for advice  - visit http://www.nahfo.org - Their Members will doubtlessly have experience in this particular area.
