Transportation of Portable FFE
« on: July 13, 2011, 08:55:58 PM »

Can anyone advise me of the requirements for transporting portable fire fighting equipment for use in training.
I beleive that it may come under ADR.

All my responses only apply to England and Wales and they are an overview of the subject, hopefully it will point you in the right direction and always treat with caution.

If they are training extinguishers then they are no longer goods, but "in use" equipment and so ADR wouldn't apply as such.

They should just be stored securely. A hazard diamond is only optional.

Thank you both for the reply.

I had read the FIA article and took it that it was referring to new equipment.

The extinguishers are used for training purposes and are stored securely.
