DCLG publication on competency criteria for fire risk assessors

I understand this publication is due out this Autumn 2011. Any chaps on here know when exactly and have you seen a copy?

Just one section is causing a problem the passive. once that is finished it will be a quick three week turn around then out to the public. I believe the passive is due for completion this week. Sorry can't give a definitive date

The ASFP guide on inspecting passive fire protection states the DCLG has been facilitating discussions which will lead to a publication (section 5.4). So it will not be rubber stamped by them then.

The Fire Risk Assessment Competency Council is a voluntary group of fire industry organisations, chaired by Iain Cox representing CFOA and Martin Duggan ( FIA ) is acting secretary. The Council comprises a broad group of relevant stakeholders, emerged with the encouragement of Government to address the issue of defining a competent fire risk assessor.

The Council exists to establish criteria against which the competence of a fire risk assessor can be judged. It is anticipated that these criteria will be used by professional bodies, third party certification bodies that register or certificate fire risk assessors and commercial companies that provide fire risk assessment services. 
 
Membership  of the compency council  is informal and open and currently consists of :
