Are we paying too much for British Standards?
« on: August 21, 2012, 03:48:06 PM »
I needed a copy of NFPA10 to maintain extinguishers on a US Air Base. Couldn't find a copy in the UK so looked to the US web sites. Logical really.

Then stumbled across British Standards being sold for between 6% and 15% of the price of Non Members BS prices in PDF format.

Are we paying too much? Anyone know why? Are they legit?

Examples

BS5306-3:2009

 ENSTD.com  £9.41

BSI Non members price £156

BS 9991-2011

ENSSTD.com
£37.62

BSI Non members price
£246
