At last, a R/A has included an Ansul system !
I got a call out from a client who had failed a R/A, as the Ansul nozzles were deemed to be in the wrong position. They were all perimeter mounted not central as he judged to be the norm. He was incorrect of course as they differ depending upon appliance dims etc and this can only be confirmed by a qualified and experienced engineer.
But that's not my point. In 10 years of playing with this kit, this is the first R/A to notice the nozzles.
So he was either keen and over ambitious checking everything or R/A training has been updated to include suppression systems within an audit.
Or it was a one off....
Anyway, hats of to him. He checks them which is good news for his clients as they are now made more aware of the nature of the stainless steel box on the wall
