The Alternative Christmas Story
« on: December 23, 2013, 09:15:07 PM »
A pregnant lady rode Far East, to Soufend she was headed,
along with Joseph, her good man, to whom she was now wedded.
Before they reached the county line, their ass began to tire.
He'd done a shift as an I/O and then was up for hire.

He saw an Inn "Aha" he thought "I bet it needs enforcement"
"on the RP and all in sight, I'll check who gets the rack rent".
He kicked the Inn door very hard, until it was well broken.
though God knows why, I've not a clue, it was already open.

"Oo runs this joint, you're nicked my son, there will be prohibition"
"I'll find a cause, you wait and see, I'm a man on a mission."
So every door was checked in turn, to look for one inch stops.
Though they went out decades ago, unknown to the fire cops.

But all the doors had strips and seals-'twould give Auntie Lin pleasure.
though she would be frustrated that the stops he had to measure.
"Ok where is you're FRA, I bet it detail lacks."
But it was done by unique one, the only one on FRACS.

By then things were not looking good, it seemed the Inn was fine.
But the I/O was certain that something would cross the line.
And then just like 'twas safe in London , with just twenty pumps,
The case was made, the goal achieved, something came right up trumps.

For as he walked the single stair that served one upper floor,
he noted that a running man was on a sign no more.
"That running man has fallen off, my God I'll throw the book"
"There is a risk of death (or worse), it's all just like New Look.

Kurnal was around even in those days of which I tell.
So the Inn Keeper was quite quick to give Big Al a bell.
Kurnal had never seen the place, nor knew a thing about it.
But when called to help the needy, he'll always use his smart wit.

"Now, look here", he said "for all this fuss, there is no valid reason"
but, to challenge views of LFB, is tantamount to treason.
So off they took him to the Tower, though he was quite amused.
For they took him in the fire lift-something he'd never used.

And so far from assertions that the little Inn was full.
It was closed down by LFB, by Prohibition tool.
There is a moral in this tale, don't mess with the I/Os.
For without even a second thought, they will your business close.

No Willie, on a point of accuracy when my PA went off just before Christmas she had a matrix of 9 expert witness jobs on which I was instructed.  Following work all over Christmas, I have only 2 left to start, but hey all work and no play makes Willie a dull boy.

Retters, It is not just a day job, it is a night and day calling.   You will know that when you come to work for us.  When are you going to leave the Frigging Rotten Service.
