Just got back from hols in sunny France, I have enough red wine to sink a battle ship, now back to work!
I am after some objective and independant advice on testing an aspirating system in a high bay warehouse, the ceiling height is 18m and the racking is to 15m. I understand there is a form of testing where one uses a smoke pellet placed on a gas fire hot plate. I have taken into account stratification, the point here, is that i want to ensure that the system works, independtly of the advice offered by the installer.
Is there any technical literature available detailing the recommeded equipment along with the length of the test along with suggested response times?
I have a copy of the BFPSA guidance on testing aspirating systems, using a lactose/potassium mixture is this form of testing preferred to the one I have suggested above.
As always your guidance would be appreciated.
Regards
Gary Howe.
