This one is directed at anyone working within a LAFB training dept. Have any Sub Officer trainers undergone assimilation to the new role structure and if so what is your pay point within the role based structure. I am a serving SubO working within the training dept at Cheshire Fire Service and have been assimilated 'for pay purposes only' at Watch Manager 'A'. I have been made aware that some Brigades are assimilating SubO trainers to Watch Manager 'B'. I am collecting intelligence as our current assimilation 'for pay purposes only' is an interim measure with the final determination yet to be made.
I am also interested to know how different Brigades can place persons performing in the same role on a different pay structure when the function of IPDS is to provide for transferrability of skill by utilising National Occupational Standards set against national rates of pay for the role being undertaken.
