Smoke alarm rules to apply to all homes in Scotland
« on: March 18, 2018, 03:30:39 PM »
All homes in Scotland are set to have a minimum number of smoke alarms after a 30-year-old law is amended. Changes to the Housing (Scotland) Act are being made in the wake of the Grenfell Tower blaze in which 71 died.

There will be a 10-year age limit for alarms and all alarms will have to be ceiling-mounted, and should be interlinked.

The move appears to be popular with electricians  :)
