Perco Self Closing Devices

Hi all just a quick question do the perco self closing devices meet the criteria of BSEN 1154 (size 3) and if not why and what advice is given to occupiers witgh these devices already in place?

You don't say what type of building it's in.  In my experience, they're not really suitable for doors that are opened and closed a lot e.g. in a large office or industrial-type environment.  

If they're in a small office or domestic premises, they're properly fitted and they work OK (i.e. the door will close, over the latch if one's fitted, from any angle of opening) then personally I'd not be looking at replacing them.

If you are talking about the Perko chains probably not. However there is a new concealed device called Perkomatic which does claim to meet the criteria of EN and BS.
