The draft PAS 9980 has now been issued for public comment. People have one month to comment.

if anyone has an interest in BS 5839-9, public comments on the new draft have been resolved so it is on target for publication in Augst.

I personally don't like the fact that an external wall review/assessment is being called a "fire risk appraisal and assessment" FRAA.  Surely this is daft?  This will cause confusion within the industry, especially when, as most of you are aware, when an enquiry comes in from a client, half the time they don't know what they want! Now we are throwing FRAA into the mix with FRA.   I think this will cause confusion, with clients being sold a service when they wanted a different service.
