Fire resistant paint in domestic rental house
« on: January 05, 2023, 06:26:03 PM »
In England is it a mandatory requirement to have fire resistant paint in a non HMO rental house?...
I can't find anything definitive  to say it is although a council fire risk assessment template  has a section for " surface coatings"
I  suspect it isn't a requirement.  I saw a posting on another forum that said no particular specialised paint was necessary for fire doors. Added to that is the fact that fire resistant or intumescent paint is notable by its absence or very small stocks in builder's and paint merchants.
