Hello,

I was hoping that there may be someone on here that attended the fire at Telstar House, Eastbourne Terrace, Paddington, London W2 in 2003.
I am currently trying to plan a training session on Command and control & major incidents and i would like to base the session on this incident and have a copy of the report by  ADO Steve Dudeney ( as he was ) which provides a good picture of the overall incident but i am more interested in..

1.What went well
2.What did not go well
3.What was learned

I would be grateful of any material that anyone would be able to share.
If anybody is not aware of this incident and would like to voice the ten pence, the above report is available at http://www.firetactics.com/TELSTAR%20HOUSE.htm

Cheers

Mark

It cost my employers (insurance company) a lot of money!  I'd love to see the report.  I was there the following Monday.  Send me an email and I'll tell you more.

Try http://www.fireservice.co.uk/forum/index.php?act=idx as Steve is a regular contributor and moderator at this forum and I am sure will be able to fill in the gaps for you.

Hey .... just a 'plug' for my new book ;-) as it has a lengthy report by those who were on-scene at the Telstar House fire, both from operational and command perspectives. The book also analyzes two fires side by side and draws some strikingly similar conclusions and lessons learned ... Telstar House (London) and Windsor fire in Madrid (interview with Madrid commanders and first firefighters onto the fire floors).

www.euro-firefighter.com (sorry for the plug) but it's all for charity mates!

My copy of Pauls book arrived this morning, I'm already 39 pages in (had to put it down when the pager went off), money well spent. Go on and buy a copy. :)
