Palletized cribbing
« on: December 03, 2007, 11:30:12 PM »
My department is looking to palletize its cribbing supply. We have a large cribbing supply stored at one of our station. Our current system is to load the cribbing piece by piece into a truck and take it to the location where it is needed. We would like to palletize it, so it can be loaded by fork-lift and taken to the scene via one of our fleets flat bed trucks. All of our engines and ladders have their own cribbing supply. This cribbing is only used for major incidents.

My questions are;

Has any departments or organizations taken this approach?
Do you use standard pallets or custom bulk pallets?

Thanks,
