A London Underground station that I regularly use has break glass call points covered with a hinged plastic 'false alarm' cover.
Nothing unusal in that perhaps, but instead of using a large hinged cover which covers the entire unit (including the red box), this cover is fitted to the box and when closed covers just face of the box.
As a result, whereas the typical type of cover would be obvious in terms of appearance and use, this one is hardly noticeable and perhaps would obstruct the use of it if it were unnoticed in a panic or by foreigners/tourists (there's quite a few of them on the tube!!)
Anyone seen this type of plastic flap before?
Bearing in mind that London Underground do not evacuate on the actuation of a BGU, (unusually their time delay procedure includes actuations from manual call points)any delay in actuating a BGU would perhaps not be good news.
