Morley-IAS/Notifier compatability

Is it true that the Dimension panel can be used to support Notifier call points and possibly the range of Notifier interfaces? Thanks in anticipation for any info.

Hi There,

Morley cannot support Notifer protocol devices but can support the system sensor range (Notifer are made by system sensor but with Notifier Protocol).

You just need to select System Sensor on the commissioning software and make sure you have system sensor loop cards. They look exactly the same as Notifer sensors this may be where the confusion has arisen from.

If the dimension system of Morley is designed to support Notifire stuff, it can not accept to mix XP95, Hochiki, Notifire stuff... all in one system, it must be some change of the setting to take place first, in order to use only one type at the time, because they use a completely different protocoles of communication.

Check with 'Morley technical support' it is free :) Tel: 01444235556

An ex-ADT engineer told me. If true it would certainly make changeing a panel and devices a lot more straight forward. i.e. reusing bases to replace detection (system sensor or mias protocol) and leaving call points/interfaces in situ. Do you know if this is possible monkeh? Thanks in anticipation.

The Dimension supports Apollo (Discovery,XP95),Hochiki (ESP),Morley-IAS & System Sensor protocol devices.

it can't support notifier at all as far as i know, and even if it could, it woiuldn't accept them in conjunction with any other type of detetction.

the only different types of detectors you can "mix and match" are apollo, where xp95 & dscovery can be used on the same system.
