I am working in petroleum industry handling Petrol (Motor Spirit/Gasoline), Diesel (HSD), Kerosene etc. Is there any minimum thickness requirement for foam formed for effective control of fire for Class A flammable liquid? Which code spells this out? If not, What is the minimum thickness of foam required to be formed above burning liquid considered internationally for the purpose of design?

Will the shelf life of AFFF 3% (10 year shelf life) or efficacy reduced if stored in premixed condition with water at the correct concentration under Nitrogen pressure?
