Ladies and Gents,

We seem to have a storm in teacup here.  While I'm not generally in favour of moderating free speach and debate and while I have no objection at all to the debate on the RRFSO, as sign of respect, I will shortly delete all posts that are not simply messages of condolances.  I trust site members will understand and respect that decision.

If you want to debate RRFSO, feel free, suggest you start another thread.

Hello all, I have been reading your kind words about the firefighters lost at Atherstone on Stour on the 2 November.  I thank you on behalf of my colleagues at Warwickshire Fire & Rescue.  I was on the first appliance to arrive at the incident so feel I am able to do this.  We are all going through the investigation stage which is not easy but we have very good  teams from Oc health and trauma support who are brilliant as are the union.  The USAR teams built us some staging at Stratford to shelter the  hundreds of flower tributes that have been left at the station, passers by stop all the time and most have tears in their eyes.  I try to be positive and hope that some good comes from the loss of Ian John Ashley and darren.  Once again thank you.
