Metal Fires

A fair point Ken.

In fact the makers of Cetrimax 'ABC' Powder - plain old mono ammonium-phosphate etc - have had their powder rated for Class D fires being tested to DIN standards on magnesium - a 12kg extinguisher can deal with 1kg of metal.

All you need to do is fit your extinguisher with a low velocity applicator instead of the normal discharge hose & nozzle. Easily done on most common makes, just buy the applicator as a spare and retrofit - cheaper than a Class D agent
