Emergency Lighting Tests
« on: March 07, 2008, 04:25:44 PM »
Leaving aside all the technical stuff I've read on here, can comeone explain in layman's terms, how emergency lighting is tested (the various ways), what are we testing for and how often and who should test.

I have some grasp of the above but I would be grateful for a detailed explanation in simple terms.
"We are the unwilling,
Led by the unqualified,
Doing the unnecessary,
For the ungrateful.
-Living the dream!"

Go to http://www.fire.org.uk/punbb/upload/viewtopic.php?id=1149&p=1 should answer some of your questions.
All my responses only apply to England and Wales and they are an overview of the subject, hopefully it will point you in the right direction and always treat with caution.
