Anyone know of any problems with these that result in strobes not working?
Sounders still work, no faults / battery indications on panel.
Just 3 strobes no longer working.

Are they hard wired once or radio once?

Are the strobes fed from a seprate power supply or they have their internal batteries?

Wireless sounder / strobes, the strobes have just stopped working on 3 out of 7 or 8 installed.

I would first check their internal batteries, are they properly logged on?

You can check this through 'Sounder Option' where you can send individual evacuation signal to set the strobes ON, once at the time...

How old are they.... do they have lithium and alkaline cells in??

9/10 its the alkaline cells, but could be the UHF chip buggered. Have seen it in the sounders before but not usually strobes.

Try the RX test in sounder options, or warm start the panel and see what comes back.

Strobes have alkie batteries.
Strobes are connected to sounders which have the address by way of a pair of wires on a plug.
As sounders and strobes are two different but adjacent units, I have swapped components around and the prob seems to be in the (working) sounders, not the strobes.
It has been already suggested that I try sounder settings in the panel menu to ensure that strobes have been activated, anyone know about this?
When on site I will use EMS tech help and go from there, but customer is happy to replace the sounder/strobe units anyway!

to be honets I have never ever seen EMS strobes are they one device sounder/strobes at the same time or just strobes?

They are a sounder unit approx 100mm square which has an address number, and a strobe unit attached, also about 100mm square. the strobe gets its signal from the sounder and is connected to it by 2 wires. Each unit has its own batteries. When disconnected from the sounder, the strobe fails to bring up a fault on the pnel.
I think Dave has the right idea and I may find that they are incorrectly set up.
I have found other silly things on this site, like devices in the wrong zone, tamper switch wedged in with a stick and suchlike.
The manager was not overly impressed with the company that installed it.

Ohhhh if its a site you haven't really seen before I would go into sounder options and do a "set sys" to make sure these devices have a the right system code, and "Join Group".

Make sure you get an "Ack" back each time....
