« on: August 22, 2008, 11:00:47 AM »
hi my name is chris "harry" harrison, and i'm starting the west yorks course on the 8th of september, and was wondering if anyone on here is doing the same. or has just completed the course, and could give me the run down? particulaly on what level of fitness is required/whats undertaken on course. and do you think the fact the course is now non residential is good or not?

thanks for any feedback. harry

hi harry, my name it tom, i will be joining you on the 8th sept at west yorks.  training wise, i do alot of training anyway as half my mates from home are personal trainers so am lucky to have access to good advice but a general level of fitness all round is what will suit the training course, good cardio but also the ability to do cardio whilst lifting weights so i have found circuit training to be very useful in my prep.  your more than welcome to train with me when we start as the training centre has a gym facility.

i currently live in penrith in cumbria and have just got a flat in leeds so the non-residential issue has meant that i have got a flat earlier than expected but ah well

basically were just going to get beasted for 13 weeks with some theory thrown in there for good measure - all good fun though am sure

whats you background?

You will not get beasted for the whole 13 weeks. There will be a fair few moments when your fitness will need to be top notch but its not a 13 week beasting session. There is also a lot more theory than you think at the beginning, towards the end you will find most of it is practical, especially with BA and RTC.

ENJOY - you will love it.
