Buzzy, In fairness to the good and honest labourers of H&W, it is true that the number of lifeboats met the marine standards of the day, as, contrary to popular misconception, there was no need for 100% lifeboat capacity. However, the design left a bit to be desired.
With regard to my new, excellent guide, available now from all good bookshops in time for Xmas, in your case there would be a quadruple Bushmill supplement at Benedicts for transport to the Province next week.

Why all the complaints about 9999?

I used to have a  3 - 4" gap on my bookshelf which often meant that my other folders wouldn't stand upright

Now with my copy of the document bound and placed on the shelf, the gap is filled and all my folders stand up like soldiers on parade. Very smart.

So - for you cynics out there-  BS9999 does have it uses.

It's also very useful for step ups if you want to keep fit

Any other uses for it????
