"Get a life"?

Are you rude to everyone, or is it just a internet thing?  I'm not paid for this and I am answering your "complaints" in my own free time.  If you don't like it, then feel free to request a membership fee refund.

It's for maintenance and investigation proposes…, and not for having multiple user accounts! you may delete them afterward… etc

Chris

I apologise if offended. I am not rude, cheeky maybe.......

The reason one should not remain logged on is that
a) it clutters up your server time and
b) could expose us to viruses and spyware from some of your unsavoury callers- we know firenet tries to be safe but not even HMG can guarantee it.
c) its good manners to log off

what I was trying to express is that for those of us who visit often, especially if we post, deleting all cookies also has the effect of slowing down other websites. So we are frustrated.
As Benz suggests have a Chris's test account

Sorry

I don't think its possible to delete your account, i've never seen that option.

If you wanted to, can you actually delete an account? I have never seen that option
You can probably delete your only own one, not someone else account…, it's the site owner or site admin who can delete them!

Where would the delete bit be then? If you look on your own profile to see if there is a setting, i don't think there is which is probably the reason behind why there are a lot of 'dead' accounts.

As I look at the board there are 3 others logged in.  Does this mean that the other 3,553 member have gone through the painful process of cookie deletion, or that you might have a specific issue?

Happy to help with it if someone tells me what it is they would like me to do.
yes   i have to go through the same routine evert time too.

It logs you out after a time of inactivity.  Just leave yourself logged in.  No need to worry.
