MORLEY QUESTION
« on: February 25, 2009, 06:52:10 PM »
Got a job in the next week or so and i have to change the action on a morley zxse panel (hochiki protocol) to change a relay to  non latching, i fitted the relay several months ago and set up the (conventinal panel) signal through the normally n/o contacts so when the panel goes into fire it triggers our panel (morley) there was no contacts in the conventinal panel for me trigger it  (crappy old panel) but now there is a new system going in (conventinal again) and i need to make sure that if either panel goes off they do not latch onto each other ( i can set up the conventinal panel no problem) its just the relay on the morley panel i got a problem with. I looked in the morley manual and it says contact tech to set up non latching? why this? also it says not usually used. ???

In the 'input action' setting on the main loop editor set to class change, which will sound the alarms for the duration of the input being switched.

Hope this helps.

Ive never used this function but standard CC set up only activates the sounders usually so I would hve a look at the non-latching option (only thing is your auxillaries will revert back to normal once input clears so this might be a problem).
If you can set your conventional panel not to signal the Morley if it gets a signal from the Morley (like in the HAES panels where you can configure the auxillaries not to operate with particular zones) then you're half way there.THen you could set up your event logic on the MORLEY not to signal back to the conventional panel if it gets a signal from it but to operate all other relative outputs as required.
