Gent causes and effects issue
« on: March 18, 2009, 02:46:32 PM »
Have disabled sectors 1-32, loops 1-8, and then master alarms, relays 1-2, and comms 1-15. But still when testing in silent mode, the doors releases till I reset the system they lock back.

The question is: Why door release system hasn't been isolated? How is it linked to the system?

Any idea?

Thank you

In a group that has not been assigned to isolate via the programme , will have to be added in.
Its time to make a counter attack !

Benz,

My guess is that it's on a command build. Also isolate these 1-255 on the panel in question.... you don't need to worry about the groups.

Give me a shout if you've got any issues.

Thanks Gal. and Angel;

In a different site I used to isolate even groups 1-125 and build 1-225, as a result the smoke detectors didn't trigger, then I had been told that I have in fact isolated the inputs through some build's configs..., since then I stoped isolating the build and groups, and it's now back to the same trubble. some outputs can not be isolated without isolating either groups and builds or one of them.

The other raised question is; are we allowed to reconfigure the cause and effects, like in this case making the door release system isolated, while the system is under test?

Are shall we have to have permission for that?

Thank you

Benz,

Don't isolate the groups. If you just isolate builds 1-255 and also your normal stuff sectors, comms etc you will be fine.

As far as being allowed to do it goes, if the customer lets you keep outputs on for testing purposes great. If they will not aloow these to go off then make sure you document that you cannot test outputs at customers request...
