play surface tiles
« on: July 16, 2009, 04:44:25 PM »
Anyone ever heard of external play matting (fitted) being involved in a fire? Is it easy to set fire to with a careless or deliberate match would anybody know?

Thanks if anyone's come across

A couple of incidents I've heard about in my locality the surface was set alight by the collapse of the burning wood play equipment rather than catching fire directly. But no information as to the type of surface or its age.

We used to have a problem with the recycled rubber tyre stuff in playgrounds being set alight by placing traffic cones on it then igniting those  >:(
