Storage of Cleaning Chemicals
« on: December 02, 2009, 09:11:30 AM »
I have a client who has a care home laundry which uses two washing products: One based on Hydrogen Peroxide and the other based on Sodium Hydroxide. Approximately 6 gallon cans of each are stored. My query is on how it should be stored. I find the data sheets a little confusing but basically it says store upright in a cool area when not in use. They are storing in an adjacent linen room on the floor.
Any opinions please?

Jakespop, something similar has been recently discussed:

They are both oxidising agents and as such are defined as dangerous under the RRO. I would suggest that the linen cupboard is not the best place for them. :)
