TG Products has released a warning that the spray nozzles on their 3 & 6 litre water additive extinguishers may not produce a discharge capable of safely meeting the 35kV test.
Users may not have the shock protection against accidental use on electrical equipment they would expect from the product.
Batches affected are the Gloria models from January 2009-April 2013 and Firepower models from January 2013-April 2013.
The Firepower 6 litre plain water spray is not affected.
Replacement hoses should be fitted and TG products will supply the trade free hoses and a fee towards attendance costs per site, claims to be made before the end of the year.
If you use these products on your site you should contact you supplier/service company (if they don't contact you first, which they should) to arrange a quality check & replacement hoses as required - this should not cost the user as TG will compensate suppliers/service companies as detailed above.
