London Fire Brigade

London 2008 has nearly closed and so another waiting game will begin!

Who else out there has applied for London? Anyone know any dates? Or how many they are looking for?

Hi,
Yes I've heard and am at the interview stage. I'm there in 2 weeks, so am swatting like mad.
I've heard that they're after quite a few, but they have got alot of application forms to plough through. If you havn't heard yet, don't think that's a bad sign, they have just got so many forms to proccess and they can't be done all at once.
Good luck

So how did you hear by post or E-Mail?  Isn't it strange that they began with the interview first usually its the psychological stuff first and then the fitness.  Or are they condensing the two into one day like they used to do with the police?

Hi,
I heard by post a couple of weeks ago.
I didn't say before, I've sat the written test already, interview in 10 days, then hopefully the physical test.
Cheers

Well, had my interview this week. It went OK, but it could have gone better in places.
So, it's now in the balance and I've got to wait to hear. To be honest, it could go either way.
Anyone else going through the same campaign?
Cheers

I'm still waiting to hear back.  So I guess you’re miles in front.  Anyway well done for getting as far as you have.  Was the interview all PDQ based and did you stick to STAR like everybody advises on these boards.

Hi,
Did you mean PQA based? That's the way it went, not quite as per the national standard, but along the same lines, learn your pqa's inside out. Star or stare method is ok, but with my interview I was asked a series of questions within the main question, rather than just a main question then answered the complete scenario. You'll understand what I mean if your interview goes the same way.
Good luck
