A residential development has a two storey and a three storey section separated by a glazed link corridor.

In relation to means of escape in the common parts - does the two storey section need to mirror the requirements of the three storey section i.e  ADB 2.20 to 2.51 or if designed in accordance with ADB 2.11 & 2.12, does 2.20 - 2.51 not become applicable?

I'de see where the difference are and consider each in turn. I'm wondering if the link corridor might complicate matters.

In summary it depends  whether  a fire in the 2 storey section could affect the three storey section of the building due to interconnections between the two.
