I have some information on IFEX like equipment made in china.

Pte msg me if you are interested.

This basically deploy a >100 Pascal N2, forcing water into a spinner strainer which slice the water into fine molecules of averaging 20-40 microns mist, which envelopes the fire source.

Fogtec have produced the best system I have seen. It was tested along side the Fire Fogging system by Manchester FR Service and came up trumps! It is designed as a fire fighters tool and not as a 'jet wash'.

Having spoken to Fogtec in depth now I can assure you that these are viable as a RIV for road incidents and also as a 1st responce vehicle. Why send a full crew and expensive tender to a waste fire, car fire, etc.

West Mids are trialing a Swedish system called COBRA.
Contact : Trevor Hadley

More details of the system at http://www.bhrgroup.co.uk/diajet/cobra.htm.
Avon are also trialing this piece of kit......it can be used to "blast" a mixture of water and metal fillings through a solid brick wall or steel barrier. once the hole is created it will then allow you to cool the compartment from relative safety using a high powered fog.
best to look at the official website for more accurate info as ive only seen it briefly.
not sure how useful it will prove.
