Fire resistant plaster board

A fire officer has said a fuse box (consumer unit type) must be enclosed in boarding - located in warehouse office that has 3 escape routes from the office. What type of boarding is recommended to provide 60mins protection, is fire rated plaster board best for this. It will effectively be a cupboard so it will need fire rated hinges and intumescent strips?

Sounds a bit excessive - was this requested via a deficiencies notice?

Sounds like a trigger happy fire officer. Just to be clear, there is nothing in BS7671 2018 that requires existing  plastic consumer units to be fire protected and certainly no requirement even for new installations outside domestic premises.
I note from Envirografs link that they claim their product meets the IET Wiring Regulations (BS7671). Afraid not, BS7671 is not a product standard. In fact unless Envirograf have manufactured their cover to a recognised standard, it may well not be suitable for inclusion as part of the electrical installation.
