Lightning in a fire station
« on: May 09, 2022, 09:46:22 AM »
Can someone advise if there are any special requirements with respect to lighting circuits in a fire station? I am doing an electrical installation design project in a fire station with students where some light fittings are marked as ?dual?. Now I am well aware of what a dual lightning circuit is but unsure of what arrangements should be in place in a fire station. Further, when an alarm is raised what is the instruction signal to the lightning system?

Stations would have a 'pilot' light system that comes on with the turnout signal and stays on for a set amount of time.

You probably know this already. Hope you get a more technical answer.
