Enhanced Fire Risk Assessment
« on: October 31, 2023, 08:36:58 PM »
I have come across types 1 to 4 fire risk assessments, however I have now come across the term @Enhanced fire risk Assessment'. Has anyone else come across this term, and if so can you provide some context to its use? Thank you.

Sounds like a marketing upsell - either it's suitable and sufficient or it isn't.

I can only guess that it might include property protection or a more intrusive compartmentation & fire door survey.

AnthonyB, thanks for your quick response. I'm currently trying to look at the history of the property in question, and initial indications would suggest that the assessor may have been paid for carrying out a fire risk assessment previously, which was not suitable and sufficient, and is looking to be paid for a second bite of the cherry and requesting payment for a second document by calling it enhanced. The second document does provide a large amount of photographs of fire doors but no information as to how each photograph physically relates to the layout of the property and thus the escape strategy.
