09/03/2007 Principal Control Manager South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Authority    
Salary: Group Manager

Location: Central Headquarters

Applications are invited from staff currently within the role of Group Manager who can demonstrate the necessary evidence of competence against the personal qualities and attributes (PQA's) for a middle manager.

Your role will be to ensure adequate support in the management of resources and incidents.  With senior management experience, you will demonstrate strategic, operational and financial planning skills, as well as the ability to deliver organisational change. This will be combined with excellent communication, leadership and analytical skills.

You will have a demonstrable track record of the achievement of established strategic objectives and experience within the Control function. Project management and partnership working skills are desirable.

The selection process for this vacancy will include completion of a standard application based on the PQA's for the role, a presentation and an interview based on an understanding of the role and strategic issues related to the Fire Service.
