Hello all,

I hope this is the right part of the forum to post this request in.

I belong to an air rifle target shooting club and we are encouraging the local (sensible) teenagers to develop their skill and enter competitions across the country. This means there is a desperate need for some 'not too heavy' 300 bar rated air cylinders to enable them to travel to various competitions.

We are not a large club and mainly reply upon the goodwill and time of members and friends to keep the club afloat and maintained.

I was looking for some advise really on where or how to obtain some not too expensive air cylinders that would assist us.

The only requirements are that they are 9 Litres or more with a 300 BAR rating. If they are out of test I can pay for them to be re-tested and certified.

Any hint or suggestions on who I should ask or where to look would be greatly appreciated.

Many Thanks chaps. Keep up the brave work.

Try ebay, often some on there
My posts reflect my personal views and beliefs and not those of my employer. If I offend anyone it is usually unintentional, please be kind. If it is intentional I guess it will be clear!

We have been looking on there for a few months now without any success. They all seem to be steel.

Thanks anyway. :)

By the way am I right in assuming it is carbon fibre that you guys use these days?

Thanks

You could search for diving cylinders, some of the more modern ones do 4500 psi

I have been :(

None of them are lightweight.

Some of the (kids) teenagers just can't lift the steel one we have. Especially the girls :(

Is it likely do you think - If I went to the local firestation that they would have any old or out of date ones they want to get rid of? Would they even be allowed to let it go?

Thanks again
