Make sure you brief your casualties.

So if a medic tells an unresponsive casualty to 'get up and walk', they remain unresponsive.

That's a fair point, we used members of the local brigade's fire cadets scheme to play the casualties, they were briefed but to their credit as teenagers (not professional casualty actors) on being told to do something by a grown-up they did just that.

I won't criticise them for that but it was a good learning point for me concerning what type of people to use for what role, still doesn't excuse the meds though.
