The Future of Building Control
« on: May 29, 2008, 02:30:00 PM »
The Department of Communities and Local Government have a consultation out on the future of Building Control. It was launched in March with the usual lack of fanfare and the closing date for comments is the 10th June 2008. You can find it on the Department's web site.

I am looking through it so far they are looking at reducing the number of Approved Documents and maybe calling them something else, changing the system of Building Notices and Full Plans Approval, alternative routes to compliance and improving performance. However I'm only up to page 30.
The presence of those seeking the truth is infinitely to be preferred to those who think they've found it.
