Guys

I am currently looking into a system which has self contained fltas with communal stairwells.

The common areas are to be to 5839-1 L1 and the flats to part 6 Grade 3 LD3.

Can't find clear answers to this type of system so can anyone shed light on the following?

1) Does the Part 1 system have to extend into the entrance lobby of each flat?  Part 6 9.1.5 -has heat or co detection in rooms or areas adjoining common escape routes.Does a lobby from a flat or a protected lobby between two flats that open onto a common area come under this?
2) Is one sounder in a central area from the part 1 system in each flat sufficient?

the building has also adjoining commercial units that are on the ground floor in which only one can be accessed from the common area. All the rest can only be accessed from outside. Should the one unit that can be accessed from the common area have a sounder or an interconnection to it's fire control panel?

Thank you.

Yeah - thats the bit at the start of the post that indicates self contained units are not HMO's.
