Envo-TECH addressable system ???
« on: September 09, 2008, 03:17:29 PM »
Hi Guys;

I would like to know couple of issues about this system of ‘Envo-TECH integrated system’:

1  -  It shows system complies with 'PrEN54 2&4', what are the major differences comparing to its actual counterpart BS5839 part 2&4? it has no mention to BS5839!

2  -  I need any instruction guides for this system, as system has no key pad only Evacuation, Silence, Reset, more event, and Enter.! and as long as you enable control key it shows level 2 access!

3  -  What is the password of level 3?

4  -  Apparently the system is compatible with old Hochiki devices, the fact that the spare head I found of a heat detector has been made in Japan!

Any info are welcome thank you

Site is not a Japanese bank in London by chance?

I agree it does sound like a kentec panel. If so turn key to access 2 then hold the enter button in for 2-5 seconds then your in. Silence alarms and reset do the enable/disable and walktests.

Might have a snied access code if it was built for the above company , don't think they are still around , someone may like to confirm this.

No, it's a health care centre, and it has no mention of BS on it at all, looks old system, I have just seen it today for the first time ever...

Indeed, that’s what I have been told to do, when seeking tech support from some colleague of mine… but there is no mention on it as kentec system!

Does it support Apllo protocol and new Hochiki one ?

Just in case we will be in a situation of replacing the panel one day!

Forget the Envo-Tec bit , its probably a Kentec , its either esp or hre , confirm with Hochiki it whether its ESP then any panel should run it , if its Hre you will have to have all the field devices out.

http://www.kentec.co.uk/manuals/man-1052.pdf is the link to the obsolete kentec  solo response panel which I have confirmed is the panel in question.

Or http://www.kentec.co.uk/manuals/man-1054.pdf for the solo Hochiki which is more accurate.....

Hope this helps.....

Sorry for the late reply, yes it does take the esp range and depending on what protocol panel you do they can also take apollo.
But i still want to know how you put the company name and number on the display screen. If it can be done via the panel then great but if has to be done by laptop then shant bother.
Any reply would be great.
