Oh - do you want any real advice is is this just an excuse to take the P
Half and half I suppose Dave. Have considered some things like the reality of people being hand cuffed etc, but on a serious note, just wondering if anyone had any experience of these places (no accusations intended) or serious issues to question when there!

Do they have any procedures to avoid premature evacuation?

Martin...Stop messing about and take the matter in hand.

Firstly You need to consider an adequate fire safety strategy for this type of premises - but dont just knock one out without thinking it through properly.

Means of escape is a critical factor here - be sure to inspect all rear exits check to see if all doors are easily openable or whether their hinges need lubrication.

Keep abreast of any significant findings and ascertain if the property is well managed or whether they're just falsifying documents or massaging the facts

Afterall you wouldn't want to make a booby of your assessment. You are there to service your client and help them with compliance.

Be sure to ask if the punters smoke after sex...it maybe they've just never looked - but best to check anyway.

Don't be submissive in your assessment, instead be assertive and dominant and whip into shape those fire precautions.

Is the fire alarm panel adequate or is a slave  required elsewhere in the building?

I can feel a ban from the forums coming on.

MR

Maybe Sgt Houston should move this to the banter section?
This is turning into a very tacky mass debate when serious issues are being raised here!

Prof
Would handcuffs capable of opening with a thumb turn be acceptable?

Getting serious a just a minute some body oils used in body massages can leave a greasy residue on towels. I’ve recently come across a situation where these towels were then washed, put in the tumble dryer, taken out and folded, some time later they have spontaneously combusted.

The solution appeared to be use a combination of 5 different additives to the wash cycle including a degreaser.

My experience of this type of place is that they only use baby lotion – doesn’t matter how much you pay or ask or beg. I’m never going again.

That is a good point D'Dave. I've also known this happen (not in a brothel I hasten to add but a care home).

Can you elaborate on the happenings in the care home regarding the towels MR and your situation also DD?
DD. Can you also elaborate on the "......5 different additives to the wash cycle including a degreaser"?

Can`t name the additives no, but the situation I refer to was in a health spa, they use lots of natural oils during treatments. The night porter used to wash and dry towels overnight, he would fold the towels after drying and put them back in the treatment rooms. One night the fire alarm operated and his towels were on fire. The spa itself carried out lots of investigation and subsequently changed their procedures.

The main clue to this potentally happening is that the towels feel unusually heavy. The additives are injected automatically on specific wash cycles.

I have emailed the owner for a list of additives I await his response.

Not wishing to be prude, but I didnt think Brothels were legal? Why would they bother to have an FRA and why aren't you shopping them to the police?

Life aint that simple.

Its probably a "hotel" or a "massage" parlour. These places are often quite carful to comply with legal requirements as the Local Authorities will try anything to shut them down.

So Soho is full of hotels and massage parlours then? Thats a bit of a disappointment.
