C S Todd & Associates short-listed for National award
« on: September 18, 2009, 12:09:38 AM »
Regular posters on firenet will be delighted to know that CS Todd and Associates, the MD of which has long been a regular poster on these bulletin boards has been short-listed in the National Business Awards 2009. They have been short-listed for the Better Regulation Award, which is awarded to organisations that have made a contribution to the business community by simplifying legislation and assisting business comply with best practice in meeting legislative requirements.

The status of the awards, and of Colin's practice is reflected by the other short-listed organisations, whch include the HSE, the Environment Agency, the Pensions Regulator and HM Customs and Revenue

I am sure his many friends in the fire industry wish him well in the final judging.

There seems to be some grammatical errors.

The word "any" appears with no relevance, and a "s" accidentally got put onto the word "friend".

My vote goes to the Penions Regulator. Those penions have been getting away with it for too long!

Anyway, more pressing things are afoot... Enter the Dragon is on TV.

WATAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!

I wish C.T. all the best in the final judging and hope that he wins.

I also trust that he will share the prize with all his friends on Firenet who have provided him with such good advice over the years.

I don't suppose I did. I am sure it will be on again soon though.

Anyway, would you like a list of the people nobody in the business world likes?... Scroll back up to; "other short-listed organisations"... et voilà

Just out of interest I might phone C.S.Todd & Ass'es up for some advice on how to comply. I am assuming that it is all free?

Have just noticed this thread. Many thanks for your kind wishes, especially Civvy, whose sparkling wit and repartee always gives me a smile.

With regard to the grammer of the Princess, Civvy may wish to note that, notwithstanding the handicap of a convent school English education, her grammer is impeccable, the use of the plural vindicated by the numerous written testimonials that wil be considered by the judges, including those from colleagues in fire and rescue, professional bodies, end users, the legal profession and the fire industry.

We had hoped to obtain a testimonial from a civilian inspecting officer of Civvy's expertise and experience, as it would have been good to have the backing of those with 5 minutes experience as well as the good and the great in our profession. However, time precluded this as we unfortunately started with those at the top of the tree whose opinions mattered to us and then worked down.......

With regard to free advice, I am sure that you need none Civvy, but, on a point of record, last time we did a reconciliation, free advice in the form of input to standards bodies, etc was costing the practice around £10,000 per annum, after which we stopped calculating it, as it is now even higher. Unhappily, we do not have the luxury of doing such work while drawing a a local authority salary.

Kurnal, You and the Princess are hereby invited to the Grosvenor House hotel bash at which the awards will be announced. However, tickets are £250 a head, and I am not sure a massive pension funded by my good self and other worthy tax payers, plus what you eke out in fees will run to this. But if it does, I would be very pleased to spend an evening in your company, so let me know if you do want tickets.

Stop it.

You're killing me.

No really, stop it.

Too late. Can you get Wiz's matron please, see if she can stitch these sides up?
